What is the going rate for installing gutters in central Louisiana?
My little brother is considering a ob installing gutters in central Louisiana. Long story short, the owner is offering to pay him $1 per foot. That seems a little bit low to me; I’m wondering if anyone knows what the current going rate in our area is or how we can find out?
I don’t know about Louisiana, but here in Connecticut, I am about to have new gutters installed on my roof, and the contractor told me it would cost between $4 to $5. So $1 does seem a low.
To get a better idea of local rates, I would suggest looking in your yellow pages for gutter companies, and call 2 to 3 of them to ask what their rate is per foot for new gutters. You could make the calls for your brother, as it might be awkward for him to do so.
